Anti-Racism Policy

At Mental Health America, we are deeply dedicated to fostering an anti-racist environment and championing health equity. We recognize the critical role of mental health advocacy and understand the profound trauma and harm inflicted on marginalized communities due to racial injustice. Our commitment to fighting racism and inequality is steadfast and ongoing.

We are acutely aware of the impact that disparities in economic, clinical, and environmental factors, as well as diverse linguistic needs, can have on accessing quality mental health care and services. These disparities often impede equitable mental health treatment, and we are dedicated to addressing these challenges. Our focus extends to combating discrimination, stigma, and other social and moral factors influencing health.

By setting an example and educating our affiliates and communities, we are committed to leading the charge against these injustices. United in our efforts, we stand firmly in support of racial justice and its intersection with mental health, striving toward the overall well-being of all individuals.
