Justice-Involved Programs

At Mental Health America – Wabash Valley Region, we are committed to fostering positive change within our communities. Our Justice-Involved Programs, initially rolling out in Carroll County, represent a crucial aspect of this commitment, focusing on providing support and resources to individuals navigating the justice system.

What We Do:

Comprehensive Assessments: Our MSW/LSW Director of Justice-Involved Programs conducts clinical mental health and substance use assessments for individuals involved in various aspects of the justice system. Through these assessments, we identify needs and develop tailored recommendations for the jail, probation, community corrections, and other stakeholders supporting these individuals’ recovery.

Connection to Services:

We understand the importance of access to essential services. Our System of Care Navigators works to connect individuals with the resources they need, ranging from mental health counseling to substance use disorder treatment and beyond.

Collaboration with Stakeholders:

Building strong partnerships is key to our success. We work closely with justice system stakeholders in Carroll County to ensure a coordinated approach to support services.

Our Justice-Involved Programs serve as a critical safety net for individuals in our communities. By addressing underlying mental health and substance use challenges, we not only support individuals in their journey toward recovery but also contribute to reducing recidivism rates.
